Step back and look at things objectively. Being detached means you experience your emotions without them controlling you. This is not to turn them off as you are experiencing an emotional awakening. However it is not always easy when you are suddenly feeling things in ways you never have before. It is our wish that you allow the feelings, just don't get stuck in any one for too long. Detachment is a key in the journey of mastery.
Choose how you will act, instead of reacting. Take a deep breath and then respond. You can listen, without loosing yourself in the process. When you view things from a detached perspective, you are then able to look at things honestly, not just from your own perspective, and then make adjustments, amendments, or just start anew. Detachment lets you be of, and not in and see things from the bigger picture. It frees you up from the drama and lets you live your life in a new state of peace, patience, and understanding.
The Thought for today is: Practice graceful detachment and step back and look at things objectively. Feel the emotions but don't let them control your actions. Remember, YOU are the master.And so it is
